Wow! Can you believe those Spammer jack-holes?

If you look at a few of my older posts (like 2-3 days before now) you will see what happens when you trust the world at large to respond to ones blog without requiring the user to enter the funky letters into the Word Verification box.  I went for months without any problem, then one day they discovered my blog, and all of a sudden I have 5 or more comments on every single post, all of which are obviously disinterested, insincere, and not even relevant, and all of which also contain links to a central hub of links to general spam-type web-sites...body component enhancement, singles hook-ups, other more promiscuous hook-ups, illegal distribution of otherwise legal drugs, illegal distribution of software, straight out porn, and probably even where to get fodder puppies (puppies bred and groomed just for kicking).  In short, they besmirch my blog with the peddling of the ilk of humanity, the muck, the smudge, the stains of immorality!  Well, we won't be getting any more of their kind here, so up-yours spammers!

We Need More People Like Sherriff Joe!

TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO, HE IS THE MARICOPA ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED AGAIN AND AGAIN.

These are some of the reasons why:
Sheriff Joe Arpaio (in
Arizona ) who created the "tent city jail."

He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.

He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails, and took away their weightlifting equipment and cut off all but "G" movies.

He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city
projects.

Then he started chain gangs for women so he wouldn't get sued for discrimination.

He took away cable TV until he found out there was a federal court order that required cable TV for jails. So he hooked up the cable TV again only allowed the Disney channel and the weather channel.

When asked why the weather channel he replied, so they will know how hot it's gonna be while they are working on my chain gangs.

He cut off coffee since it has zero nutritional value.

When the inmates complained, he told them, "This isn't the Ritz/Carlton. If you don't like it, don't come back."

He bought the Newt Gingrich lecture series on videotape that he pipes into the jails.

When asked by a reporter if he had any lecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series might explain why a lot of the inmates were in his jails in the first place.

More on the Arizona Sheriff:

With temperatures being even hotter than usual in Phoenix (116 degrees just set a new record), the Associated Press reports: About 2,000 inmates living in a barbed-wire-surrounded tent encampment at the Maricopa County Jail have been given permission to strip down to their government-issued pink boxer shorts.

On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached 138 degrees inside the week before.

Many were also swathed in wet, pink towels as sweat collected on their chests and dripped down to their pink socks.

"It feels like we are in a furnace," said James Zanzot, an inmate who has lived in the tents for 1 year. "It's inhumane."

Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and our soldiers are living in tents too, and they have to wear full battle gear, but they didn't commit any crimes, so shut your damned mouths!"

Way to go, Sheriff! Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.

Is Legal Immigration to America too Hard?

"Too Hard" is relative and subjective I know, but how difficult should it be?  In industry, a corporations policies toward employees and prospective employees are most often determined by "the industry" meaning that all the people in charge are taking cues from the other corporations in the same industry and formulating those policies to be both competitive as an employer and as an entity that delivers product (goods or services) to consumers.  In recent posts I have berated illegal immigrants of all nationalities, but let's face it, the largest offender in the "Illegal Immigration Question" is in fact Mexico.  So in determining our own immigration policy, perhaps we should use Mexico as a standard, or at least extract some cues about how we should structure our policy from our nearest competitor in "the industry".  So what does the Mexican Immigration Law look like?  Consider the following:

The following from a director with SW BELL in Mexico City.

I spent five years working in Mexico.

I worked under a tourist visa for three months and could legally renew it for  three more months.  After that you were working illegally. I was technically illegal for three weeks waiting on the FM3 approval.

During that six months our Mexican and US Attorneys were working to secure a  permanent work visa called a FM3. It was in addition to my US passport that I  had to show each time I entered and left the country. Barbara's was the same  except hers did not permit her to work.

To apply for the FM3 I needed to submit the following notarized originals (not copies) of my:
  1. Birth certificates for Barbara and me.
  2. Marriage certificate.
  3. High school transcripts and proof of graduation.
  4. College transcripts for every college I attended and proof of
    graduation.
  5. Two letters of recommendation from supervisors I had worked for
    at least  one year.
  6. A letter from The ST. Louis Chief of Police indicating I had no
arrest record in the US and no outstanding warrants and was "a citizen
    in good standing."
  7. Finally; I had to write a letter about myself that clearly stated
why there  was no Mexican citizen with my skills and why my skills
were important to  Mexico. We called it our "I am the greatest person
on earth" letter. It was fun  to write.
All of the above were in English that had to be translated into Spanish and be  certified as legal translations and our signatures notarized. It produced a  folder about 1.5 inches thick with English on the left side and Spanish on the  right.

Once they were completed Barbara and I spent about five hours accompanied by a  Mexican attorney touring Mexican government office locations and being photographed and fingerprinted at least three times.  At each location (and we  remember at least four locations) we were instructed on Mexican tax, labor,  housing, and criminal law and that we were required to obey their laws or face  the consequences. We could not protest any of the government's actions or we  would be
committing a felony. We paid out four thousand dollars in fees and bribes to complete the process.

When this was done we could legally bring in  our household goods that were held by US customs in Laredo Texas. This meant we  rented furniture in Mexico while awaiting our goods. There were extensive fees involved here that the company paid.

We could not buy a home and were required to rent at very high rates and under  contract and compliance with Mexican law.

We were required to get a Mexican drivers license.  This was an amazing process.
The company arranged for the licensing agency to come to our headquarters location with their photography and finger print equipment and the laminating  machine. We showed our US license, were photographed and fingerprinted again  and issued the license instantly after paying out a six dollar fee. We did not  take a written or
driving test and never received instructions on the rules of  the road. Our only instruction was never give a policeman your license if  stopped and asked. We were instructed to hold it against the inside window away  from his grasp.  If he got his hands on it you would have to pay ransom to get  it back.

We then had to pay and file Mexican income tax annually using the number of our FM3 as our ID number. The companies Mexican accountants did this for us and we  just signed what they prepared. I was about twenty legal size pages annually.

The FM 3 was good for three years and renewable for two more after paying more  fees.

Leaving the country meant turning in the FM# and certifying we were leaving no  debts behind and no outstanding legal affairs (warrants, tickets or liens)  before our household goods were released to customs.

It was a real adventure and If any of our senators or congressmen went through  it once they would have a different attitude toward Mexico.

The Mexican Government uses its vast military and police forces to keep its citizens intimidated and compliant. They never protest at their White House or  government offices but do protest daily in front of the United States Embassy.  The US embassy looks like a strongly reinforced fortress and during most protests the Mexican Military surround the block with their men standing shoulder to shoulder in full riot gear to protect the Embassy. These protests  are never shown on US or Mexican TV. There is a large public park across the  street where they do their protesting.  Anything can cause a protest such as  proposed law changes in California or Texas.

Please feel free to share this with everyone who thinks we are being hard on  illegal immigrants

A Stick, A Rock, & A String

...that's all kids need to have the time of their life, a stick, a rock, and/or a string.  We had a party at our house and I had set-up several lawn games for the kids to play, Bocce Ball, Bowling for Critters, etc.  None of these games were played per se, but all of the equipment ended up scattered all over the yard, and best of all, it kept all the kids out of our hair for several hours in a row.  The fact that I set out stuffed animals, orange cones, bowling balls, etc. is immaterial; if I had made piles of sticks, rocks, and strings, they would have been just as occupied, since they obviously invented their own games anyhow.

Steel Gongs & Shooting...

I was telling some guys at work about my new interest in shooting and somehow the conversation wound its way into shooting at big steel plates.  One of my co-workers told about a 4ft x 8ft x 1/4" thick steel plate that they had hauled out to the middle of some desert in Nevada to shoot at (among other things).  But not wanting to haul the several hundred pounds of steel back out, and since they go to the same place to shoot every year, they just left it there for next year.  Well the next year it was gone.  That's when another co-worker chimed in with "ya just can't leave a good steel gong anywhere!" and he proceeded to tell his own vanishing steel gong story.  So the question is, who is removing these steel gongs so laboriously placed by these shooters?  Is it other shooters?  And if so, why can't they just shoot it right there where it is?  Is it scrap collectors?  If so that is a long way away to go scavenging for scrap metal.  Is it BLM Land Rangers?  If so, what's their beef?

Bring it on Terrorist Scumbags!

As mentioned before, I wished that I had more guns to shoot. Well some people talk about what they wish and some people just go out and do it. As for me I went out and bought an AR-15 A3 Assault Rifle

In 1994, the Federal Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 was passed. This law banned rifles that had detachable magazines and two or more of the following characteristics:

Thankfully, our good President Bush lifted that absurd ban which still allowed criminals to do as they pleased (since criminals do not give a rip about what the law says) but hobbled the rest of us good citizens. And as you can see in the picture, my rifle has:
  • A detachable, 30 round magazine
  • A telescoping stock
  • A pistol grip
  • A bayonet mount (also used to mount the A203 grenade launcher, but that piece of hardware is still illegal)
  • A flash suppressor (which is also a muzzle stabilizer, by the way, to reduce the effects of muzzle climb)(and this is just interesting, it sends out the most incredible shock waves to both sides and up, but no effects are felt by the shooter. and there are no ports pointing down, so no dust kicks up to obscure your vision or reveal your position)

The A3 designation means that the carrying handle/integrated iron sight is removable and can be replaced any number of interesting devices such as laser, optical magnification, and night vision scopes.

Shooting this gun was indeed a pleasure. There is but very little kick, the flame arrestor keeps the muzzle under control, and the 30 round magazine provides a nice long lasting shooting spree. The 4000 fps muzzle velocity is well above the 1137 fps speed of sound at 77 deg F (http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/sound/souspe.html). So if you hit a nice gong at 900 yards, the sound of that gong is more than 2/3rd the way back to you before the sound of your gun even reaches the target! The iron sights are a bit limited however in how accurate you can be, I was able to hit a few clay pigeons on the ground about 100 yards away though, which is plenty good for varmint hunting.

If you are still reading, I have more to tell... This weapon is the previous weapon of choice for the ground forces of the military even though it is only a .223 caliber. Some years ago, the military changed strategies as far as battlefield expectations goes, it used to be, "kill the enemy, run over their fallen corpses on your way to take the hill". Now it's, "wound the enemy, force two of his comrades to stop shooting their weapons (that's three guns stopped for the price of one) and drag him off the battlefield, then cripple their war economy with the expenses of medical care and all the logistics associated with medical care/transport, then when they are unable to muster enough ammunition or resistance force to stop you, walk up and claim the hill". The .223 (5.56mm military) does that quite nicely in fact. The small projectile with a lot of powder behind it, gives it that incredible velocity and enables armor piercing capability under 100 yards, but again, the small projectile imparts less momentum to the target and does less internal damage. And here's something really interesting, the only tool required for cleaning/maintenance is one of its own bullets.

FW: Please read...Hispanic Leaders Speak Out

If you know me, you know I hate e-mail propaganda, but some things just really get a burr under my saddle, and concerted alien invasion of my country just happens to be one of them.  Let me be clear, lest anyone interpret this the wrong way: I am in favor of LEGAL immigration, in which the immigrants come with something to offer (hard work, perseverence, honest citizenship, doing their part to carry the load of America, etc.).  I am vehemently against the cultures of the world coming here and attempting to supplant my culture with their own, or even deliberately insulting me and my culture, this we cannot tolerate.

HISPANIC LEADERS SPEAK OUT!

Augustin Cebada, Brown Berets; "Go back to Boston!  Go back to Plymouth Rock, Pilgrims!  Get out!  We are the future.  You are old and tired.  Go on.  We have beaten you.  Leave like beaten rats. You old white people.  It is your duty to die . Through love of having children, we are going to take over".

Richard Alatorre, Los Angeles City Council. "They're afraid we're going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They're right.  We will take them over . . . We are here to stay."

Excelsior, the national newspaper of Mexico, "The American Southwest seems to be slowly returning to the jurisdiction of Mexico without firing a single shot."

Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez, University of Texas; "We have an aging white America.  They are not making babies.  They are dying. The explosion is in our population . . . I love it.  They are shitting in their pants with fear.  I love it."

Art Torres, Chairman of the California Democratic Party, "Remember 187--proposition to deny taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens--was the last gasp of white America in California."

Gloria Molina, Los Angeles County Supervisor, "We are politicizing every single one of these new citizens that are becoming citizens of this country . . . I gotta tell you that a lot of people are saying, "I'm going to go out there and vote because I want to pay them back."

Mario Obledo, California Coalition of Hispanic Organizations and California State Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare under Governor Jerry Brown, also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bill Clinton, "California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn't like it should leave."

Jose Pescador Osuna, Mexican Consul General , "We are practicing 'La Reconquista' in California."

Professor Fernando Guerra, Loyola Marymount University; "We need to avoid a white backlash by using codes understood by Latinos . . . "

Are these just the words of a few extremists?  Consider that we could fill up many pages with such quotes.  Also, consider that these are mainstream Mexican leaders.

THE U.S. VS MEXICO: On February 15, 1998, the U.S. And Mexican soccer teams met at the Los Angeles Coliseum.  The crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Mexican even though most lived in this country. They booed during the National Anthem and U.S. Flags were held upside down.  As the match progressed, supporters of the U.S. Team were insulted, pelted with projectiles, punched and spat upon. Beer and trash were thrown at the U.S. Players before and after the match.  The coach of the U.S. Team, Steve Sampson said, "This was the most painful experience I have ever had in this profession."

Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non-European countries can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government contracts?  It's called affirmative action or racial privilege.  The Emperor of Japan or the President of Mexico could migrate here and immediately be eligible for special rights unavailable for Americans of European descent. Recently, a vote was taken in the U.S. Congress to end this practice.  It was defeated.  Every single Democratic senator except Ernest Hollings voted to maintain special privileges for Hispanic, Asian and African immigrants.  They were joined by thirteen Republicans.  Bill Clinton and Al Gore have repeatedly stated that they believe that massive immigration from countries like Mexico is good.  They have also backed special privileges for these immigrants.

Corporate America has signed on to the idea that minorities and third world immigrants should get special, privileged status.  Some examples are Exxon, Texaco, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, Paine Weber, Starbucks and many more.

DID YOU KNOW?: Did you know that Mexico regularly intercedes on the side of the defense in criminal cases involving Mexican nationals? Did you know that Mexico has NEVER extradited a Mexican national accused of murder in the U.S. In spite of agreements to do so? According to the L.A. Times, Orange County, California is home to
275 gangs with 17,000 members;
98% of which are Mexican and Asian.  How's your county doing?

According to a New York Times article dated May 19, 1994, 20 years after the great influx of legal immigrants from Southeast Asia, 30% are still on welfare compared to 8% of households nationwide.  A Wall Street Journal editorial dated December 5, 1994 quotes law enforcement officials as stating that Asian mobsters are the "greatest criminal challenge the country faces."  Not bad for a group that is still under
5% of the population.

Is education important to you?  Here are the words of a teacher who spent over 20 years in the Los Angeles School system.  "Imagine teachers in classes containing 30-40 students of widely varying attention spans and motivation, many of whom aren't fluent in English. Educators seek learning materials likely to reach the majority of students and that means fewer words and math problems and more pictures and multicultural references."

WHEN I WAS YOUNG: When I was young, I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through  Ellis Island.  They wanted to learn English.  They wanted to breath free.  They wanted to become Americans.  Now too many immigrants come here with demands.  They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges--affirmative action.  They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?: Send copies of this letter to at least two other people, 100 would be even better.  Help us get the word out.

Well, here I am at work, completely unaffected by the Immigrant Rally. Business as usual. We don't employ any immigrant workers here. Not because we ambitiously exclude them from the hiring process, nor do we ambitiously recruit Americans only, it is the nature of our business. We require extremely highly skilled people who are required to communicate in depth with other people on an hourly basis. We have had immigrants apply for positions from several nationalities including latino, Indian, and oriental, but either they could not understand my questions or I could not understand their answers, either way there way a huge communication gap that was already evident in the very basic questions I ask during the interview. I have not been willing so far to place the fate of our products (where mis-communication amongst perfect english speakers can happen every day, and could cost us thousands of dollars before caught) in the hands of somebody who could not even make themselves understood in the quiet, controlled environment of my office.

I am actually in favor of immigration. I think that it brings marvelously energetic, entrepenuerial, hard-working, and intelligent people to our workforce. Which also enriches our culture and society. I also however am in favor of the rule of law. There is a process described by law in which a person from a different part of the world may come here and work, go to school, and even become a full citizen of our nation. And I firmly believe that people who deliberately bypass the means described by that law, are in fact criminals, regardless of their intentions. If their intentions are good, then why do they need to hide them? As far as I know, there is no immigration quota, nobody at the gate saying "...498, 499, 500! That's it! Close the gate!" And sure the process does take some time, but the execution of the process does not stop people from proceeding with their plans.

So, to all the world: Come to America! But come legally! And come only if you want to live our way, we do not want to live your way, that's why we are not emmigrating to your country.
